Job Description

The opening 5-Star Resort “L’Affetto sul Lago di Garda” belongs to the international group “Hirmer Hospitality” and is located in Salò on a verdant hillside overlooking the amazing Lake Garda. 

This prestigious Hotel will be open all the year and will have 99 guest rooms and suites, 2 Restaurants, 1 Pizzeria, 2 Bars, a Meeting room, 1 indoor and 2 outdoor swimming pools and an innovative Wellness Center & SPA of 2,000 square meters.


In charge of assisting and monitoring the standards and performance of the HSK Team in order to organize and keep a top level of standard excellence in suites, rooms and public areas of the Resort. You will assist in the management of an efficient and synergical Housekeeping department ensuring that excellent level of communication both internally and externally is achieved with all Resort Departments and Guests. You will support the extraordinary Housekeeping activities before the Resort opening, building and nurturing relationships with the whole team to ensure that everyone provides a very refined and prompt service to our Guests. In addition, you will cover the HSK Manager in her/his absence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in monitoring the standards and performance of the Housekeeping Team (top level cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Resort)
  • Cooperates with the other professionals of the HSK Department (the Assistant HSK Manager, the public space cleaner, the laundry attendant and the 18 Housekeepers), demonstrating strong passion for luxury environment, details, planning and service, continuous search for excellence, customer centricity, team working and constant punctuality
  • Keeping excellent working relationships in all Resort areas, with Guests and suppliers.
  • Synergical and continuous collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, Front Office team, F&B Department and HR Manager
  • Supporting the supervision of the par stock of Guests supplies, cleaning supplies, linens and uniforms of the Resort employees
  • Monitoring stock in pantries and act accordingly if refill is needed
  • Supporting the planning and supervision of inventories with the Purchasing Manager for linen, uniforms and fixed assets, assisting in comparing and choosing suppliers for items related to HSK
  • Carry out any additional duties requested by management, related to hotel operational activities
  • Spot-checking and monitoring stayover rooms and vacant rooms in order to guarantee highest service as per company 5-star standards at all times
  • Have a constant overview of the daily occupancy, arrivals, departures, traces and important Guests in house
  • Supporting the HSK Manager in creating and monitoring the daily task sheets for room attendants with special projects and traces
  • Planning, developing and improving HSK systems and procedures
  • Supporting in reporting for Top Management information
  • Attending and resolving promptly and carefully the Guests complaints regarding HSK.
  • Verification of supplies consignments
  • Analyzing and approving all supply requisitions, such as those for spreads and bathroom rugs
  • Managing a lost-and-found logbook and be responsible for all lost-and-found items
  • Organizing on-the job training, monitoring and evaluating its effectiveness
  • Daily inspection of public areas and employees locker rooms
  • Supporting the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and a public area with the Maintenance Department: preparing, coordinating and following up on all equipment repair requests
  • Coordinate with other departments in order to ensure timely released for check ins and to manage the check outs
  • Promptly attending to Guests´ requests
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Minimum 2/3 years in the same role in a sizeable, structured, prestigious and international hotel
  • Passion for operational efficiencies/synergies across the Team and the Departments
  • University Degree or diploma in Hotel Management
  • Italian and English confidence are mandatory. A third language is preferable (e.g. German and Russian)
  • Strong passion for luxury environment, details, planning and service, continuous search for excellence, customer centricity, team building and punctuality
  • High discretion, problem solving and proactivity are a must
  • Good working knowledge of Hotel Management software such as Sihot/Protel or others is preferable
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Legal right to work in Italy
